NYC’s Comedy Village to Close in May

Comedy VillageThe Comedy Village in New York City will close May 10 after three years. “Our building has been sold and we are going to move,” says owner PJ Landers. The building had previously been home to the legendary Boston Comedy Club. The Comedy Village attracted some of hottest comics including “Dave Chappelle, Dave Attell, Jim Norton, Kevin Brennan, Bill Burr, Godfrey, Pete Correale and Rich Vos. Guys like Judah Friedlander and Greer Barnes called the Comedy Village their home club.”

“We would like to thank all of our thousands of fans who came week after week. You made the Comedy Village what it was,” says Landers. ”
