Improv, sketch and stand-up comedy writing will be taught in a youth camp as part of the inaugural Great American Comedy Festival (formerly the Carson Comedy Festival). The camp – set for June 15-21 at Northeast Community College in Norfolk – is designed to help students develop their creativity through writing and performing. The participating students will end the camp with a performance.
The Great American Comedy Festival will take place June 16-22. Scheduled performers include Robert Klein, Dave Mordal, Darryl Lenox, Joe DeRosa, Roy Wood, Jr., and Dan Bougler.
The festival is produced by Letterman talent coordinator, Eddie Brill.
