The Comedy Act Planet (formerly The Comedy Act Theater) will celebrate its grand reopening tonight in Los Angeles. The legendary show produced by Michael Williams paved the way for urban comedy TV shows such as Def Comedy Jam and BET’s Comic View, and was home to Robert Townsend, Martin Lawrence, Chris Tucker, Sinbad, Damon Wayans, Mo’Nique, and Robin Harris, who served as the emcee. Mike Epps will host an all-star lineup featuring Michael Colyar, Rodney Perry, Chris Spencer, Luenell and Faizon Love. The Comedy Act Planet will run every Thursday at 7:30p.m. at Regency West.
