Comedian Mike Dambra‘s dogged persistence and determination has finally paid off. After posting multiple bulletins which sparked discussions with comedians on his blogs, and placing numerous unanswered calls to booker Sara Hurst of Imagine Entertainment in an effort to collect the remaining balance for shows on which he performed June 24-26, Hurst has issued an apology to Dambra and Chad Thornsberry.
“I apologize that the room was not to your standings,” says Hurst in a note to Dambra. “Thank you Mike for performing your set all three nights. You have earned your pay of $900. Chad, unfortunately you did not perform your set as expected all three nights. Your pay is $200.”
Hurst also accepted responsibility for lower-than-expected ticket sales and agreed to pay both comedians by July 16 .
