Comedian Grace White expressed her gratitude to her hometown of Colfax, CA and the comedy community for their support during her struggle with lung cancer. “I have been overjoyed with the calls, concern and compassion “my little town” has shown and continues to provide,” White wrote to the Colfax Record.
“I am also grateful the comedy benefit in March sold out. I have received so much positive feedback, repeated and continuous requests, another Colfax Women Who Kick Comedy Butt show is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 23. The update on my prognosis has not changed. My daughter, Alisa Cook, and I are living each day fully and I hope for better test results.”
White is currently working with the American Lung Cancer Association of California on legislation to fund lung cancer research.
