The 9th annual North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival will showcase improv groups, and for the first time ever, stand-up comedians. NCCAF will highlight some of the best performers in the alternative comedy scene. Hosted by the DSI Comedy Theater, the South’s premier theater for improv and alternative comedy, the former Dirty South Improv Festival is an annual event that features live performances, workshops, and networking events for performers. The festival runs from February 12-21, 2009 at various venues around Carrboro. Comedians scheduled to perform include Mike Trainor, Nick Cobb, Mary Sasson, Mike Brody, Ghuffran Ali, Maria Ciampa, Carl Lee and John Kunik.
