The University of Minnesota’s Comedy Team won the stand-up competition last Saturday at Rooftop Comedy’s 2nd Annual National College Comedy Competition. The University of Minnesota’s Comedy Team members are Trevor Anderson (Woodville, WI), Linda Aarons (St. Paul, MN), Andy Erikson (Ham Laker, MN) and Bradford Paik (Portland, OR).
Beginning in January 2009, Rooftop Comedy traveled to 32 schools around the country hosting stand-up competitions. Based on audience voting, eight stand-up comedians were named to their school’s teams. With a combination of six live competitions at various comedy clubs and online and mobile voting rounds, the teams were narrowed to just four, one from each region of the country.
