The first annual Laughing Skull Comedy Festival is accepting submissions for comedians until December 31, 2009. Selections will be made by January 18, 2010. Accepted participants will be judged by comedy industry leaders Jeff Singer (Montreal Comedy Festival), Josh Leiberman (3 Arts), and TJ Markwalter (Gersh Agency). Semi-finalists will be seen by over 75 bookers, managers and agents around the US and Canada. Finalists will compete for cash prizes, over six months of work with Festival patrons, and acceptance into other comedy events such as the Aspen Comedy Festival.
Marshall Chiles, comedian and owner of The Laughing Skull Lounge, is the executor director of the festival. Steve Hofstetter will serve as assistant director.
The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival will take place March 3-7, 2010 in Atlanta.
