Comedian-actor Aziz Ansari has been tapped to host the 19th annual MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 6 at Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA. Ansari joins the ranks of past hosts such as Andy Samberg, Ben Stiller, Jimmy Fallon, Mike Myers, Sarah Silverman and Justin Timberlake.
“Our audience fell in love with Aziz on Human Giant. They followed him to the movies, TV and stand-up, and connect with him daily online,” said Stephen Friedman, General Manager, MTV.
In addition, Ansari will next embark on a multi-city stand-up tour this summer called the Dangerously Delicious Tour.
