Bravo has greenlit four new stand-up comedy specials with two-time Emmy winner Kathy Griffin. To keep the pop culture gossip and celebrity encounters fresh, a new one-hour special will air quarterly in 2011.
“I went to Bravo and told them I thought I was being a little too nice in my stand up specials. They agreed… and gave me four more. Let the fur fly,” said Kathy Griffin.
Griffin’s Emmy nominated comedy routines have spotlighted her controversial humor as she takes aim at everyone from Paris Hilton to Barbara Walters. Since 2005, Griffin has performed eight original comedy specials for Bravo including Kathy Griffin: Everybody Can Suck It, Kathy Griffin: Balls of Steal, and most recently Kathy Griffin: Whores on Crutches.
Bravo’s two-time Emmy winning reality series, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List, aired its sixth season last summer.
