March Comedy Madness 2011 is accepting video submissions from stand-up comedians for its annual event that will take place this year at The Brokerage Comedy Club and Governor’s Comedy Clubs in Long Island, NY and The Comedy Store in Hollywood, CA.
The winner of the New York competition will receive a cash prize, three paid weekends opening for headliners at each of the Governor’s Clubs: Governor’s in Levittown, The Brokerage in Bellmore and McGuires in Bohemia, as well as other great prizes. The winner of Los Angeles competition will receive a cash prize, a Gijs van der Most headshot package, a Nathaniel Wood photo session and spots at LA’s top comedy clubs and shows.
Submissions will be accepted through Wednesday, February 16. A registration application link with Like2Laugh.com will be sent and selected comedians will be entered into an online voting poll to determine the top 64 in each region. Voting will be held February 19-25. The top comedians who make it into this year’s tournament will be announced the following week.
In addition, The Comedy Store LA will host an open-call audition.
