TV Guide Network announced its new comedy programming featuring StandUp in Stilettos, an original stand-up series hosted by Kate Flannery (“The Office”), and Rove LA, the wildly popular Australian talk show hosted by comedian Rove McManus.
StandUp in Stilettos has started casting with production slated for late-April and will premiere on TV Guide Network on Saturday, June 16 at 10pm ET/PT. Rove LA will premiere in the U.S. exclusively on TV Guide Network on Saturday, July 21 at 10pm ET/PT.
StandUp in Stilettos will include 10 original half-hour episodes featuring familiar faces and rising stars on the comedy circuit today. Each show will include three stand-up comedians whose acts feature material for, by and about women. The show will be shot in front of a live audience set in a comedy club.
TV Guide Network will air 10 episodes of the never-before-seen in the U.S. television series, Rove LA starting in summer 2012, featuring stars such as Justin Timberlake, Hugh Jackman, Eva Longoria, Steve Carell, Pink and Lisa Kudrow. The network will also air 13 all-new episodes of the one-hour weekly show, which will begin taping in September.
