Live social network YouNow is searching for the best stand-up comic and hosting an open call Wednesday, May 22 at 5pm ET/2pm PT for its first-ever YouNow Stand Up Throwdown comedy contest on its new channel younow.com/shimmy. Hosted by Shimmy, the finalists from Wednesday’s open call show will be invited to compete, head to head, in the Final Round on Friday, May 24 at 5pm ET/2pm ET.
Each stand-up comedian will perform (2) two minutes, so tell your best joke, make fun of someone in the chat, or bring on a guest.
The winner will receive a one-hour guaranteed slot on YouNow before Shimmy’s live shows, for (4) four consecutive weeks and a $200 cash prize.
