Comedy Central has signed award-winning comedian Hannibal Buress to a multiplatform development deal which includes a recurring role on the upcoming scripted series Broad City, a commitment for a pilot which Buress will executive produce, and a one-hour original stand-up special, and a nationwide COMEDY CENTRAL Live stand-up tour. Buress is the first African-American comedian to sign a multiplatform development deal with the network.
A former staff writer for both Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, on which he also appeared, Buress is a regular “expert” on FX’s Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell and is the co-host of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show. He currently tours and hosts a weekly stand-up show every Sunday night at the Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.
Buress is also preparing to launch Talking to Strangers with Hannibal Buress, a weekly web series featuring conversations between the comedian-writer and top musicians and entertainers.
