Founded by comedian Joanna Briley, the Black Women In Comedy Laff Fest showcases some of the funniest Black Women, LGBTQ+, and Non-Binary individuals. The five-day event will run Juneteenth weekend at various venues in the Bed-Stuy area and comedy clubs in Manhattan.
The festival will feature four days stand-up, storytelling and panels. Headliners include Leighann Lord, Meshelle “Indie Mom of Comedy,” Meme Simpson, Franqi French, Shatara Curry, Areshia McFarlin, and Calise Hawkins and Rhonda Hansome, plus other special guests such as Sam Jay and Erin Jackson.
