November to be a Busy Month for Comedy Festivals

New York Comedy FestivalThree comedy festivals will take the spotlight in November featuring A-list comedy stars and up and coming comedians. The New York Comedy Festival will take place November 5-9 at various venues throughout New York City. The festival will feature headlining performances by Frank Caliendo, Louis C.K., Craig Ferguson, Carlos Mencia, Joel McHale, Tracy Morgan, B.J. Novak, Brian Regan, Sarah Silverman, Katt Williams, Sherri Shepherd, Susie Essman, John Pinette and Paul Mooney. Debuting in the same week is the Cleveland Comedy Festival, which will run from November 7-9. Founded by comedians John Wellington, Joe Hannum and JD Sidley, the first-ever festival will include four comedy showcases at the Hermit Club and a TV special taping featuring local and national acts such as Lord Cavett, Tammy Pescatelli, Mike Polk, Rob O’Reilly, Jeff Blanchard, Mike Veneman, Mark Jaffe, John Rathbone, Kirk Bogos, Lester Graham, Nancy Remley and Ray DeVito.

Last but not least, TBS and AEG Live will present the fourth annual The Comedy Festival at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, November 20-22. The lineup for the event includes performers Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen DeGeneres, Joan Rivers, Dane Cook, Katt Williams, Tracy Morgan, Jeff Dunham, Mike Epps, David Alan Grier, Russell Peters, Jim Breuer, Andrew Dice Clay, Kate Clinton, Jim Norton, John Oliver, Josh Blue, Ralphie May, Jamie Kennedy, Jim David and Mitch Fatel. TBS will televise several programs from The Comedy Festival, including the variety special Ellen’s Even Bigger Really Big Show, presented by DeGeneres; Laffapalooza, an evening of performances by top comedians hosted by Morgan; and a celebrity roast of Cheech and Chong.
