Stand-Up Comedians Shine with Emmy Nominations

61st Emmy AwardsNominations for the 61st Primetime Emmy® Awards, covering the period of June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009, were announced by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. This year, stand-up comedians earned nominations in several categories including outstanding lead, supporting and guest acting. The Primetime Emmys will be presented and televised Sunday, September 20 at 8:00pm (ET/PT) on CBS.
