British comedian-actor Russell Brand will host the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards live Sept. 7 in Los Angeles, CA. Brand won rave reviews for his scene-stealing performances in Judd Apatow’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Meanwhile, Ozone magazine announced that comedian-actor DeRay Davis will host its third annual Ozone Awards Aug. 11 in Houston, TX, which will honor the best in R&B and hip-hop.
