Advanced Punch-Up Workshop for Comedians
The Advanced Punch-Up Workshop is sponsored by STAGE TIME magazine and Stand Up NY, and will be presented as part of the New York Underground Comedy Festival, taking place October 2-11.
Learn advanced tips and secrets to getting booked at top comedy clubs, and on Letterman, Conan, Kimmel and Montreal’s Just for Laughs.

Are you a comedian looking to take your career to next level? Are your immediate goals to book regular spots at top comedy clubs, make your network TV debut on Letterman, Conan or Kimmel and perform at Montreal’s Just for Laughs? This 3-day advance workshop was created just for you!
In this workshop, you will learn:
* How to showcase for club bookers, TV executives and festival producers
* How to find your comedy strengths and use them to stand out in showcases
* How to create a killer set
* How to connect with your audience
* How to use the techniques of creative referencing
* How to develop your stage persona and comedy voice
By the end of the workshop, you will have the tools and techniques to showcase for industry like a pro and build a killer set. Students registered for all three classes will have an opportunity to showcase for the owner and talent booker of Stand Up NY on a primetime show.

About the Instructor: Todd Lynn is a 15-year comedy veteran who has appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Def Comedy Jam. He starred in his own half-hour special, Comedy Central Presents and landed three consecutive development deals with three major studios following his career breakthrough performance at Montreal’s Just For Laughs’ New Faces showcase.
