The Bay Area Black Comedy Competition and Festival 2007 announced their six finalists and surprisingly, half are women.
The finalists are: Drew Frazier (Brooklyn, NY), Cool-Aide (Detroit, MI), Gina Yashere (London, UK), Retha Jones (Los Angeles, CA), Smokey (Harlem, NY) and Vanessa Fraction (Chicago, IL).
The finalists will compete for cash and prizes Sat, March 31 at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA.
