Damon Wayans walked out a four-night, sold-out gig at Bart Ree’s Comic Strip, five minutes before Friday’s second show was set to begin after learning that his guests were not immediately admitted into the club.
“I apologize to my fans and friends for the el paso incident. I had great shows, standing ovations, and I felt the love for the people. However the owner of the club was being a racist prick and HOMIE DON’T PLAY THAT! This wasn’t about anything but principle and how I felt I should be treated,” he wrote on his MySpace blog.
